Djed Spence deleted anything Boro related

Spurs have spent £40m on right-backs in the last 2 seasons, both are still at the club (Doherty & Emerson Royal). There's no guarantee he'll start or keep his place. It has always been when he hasn't been 1st choice that his attitude has been questioned. If things aren't going swimmingly and that attitude shows up at Spurs under Conte then he'll be at Forest on loan next season when they're back in the championship.

They know were desperate to get rid, Spurs can happily sit until transfer deadline day. If we do that our main targets are likely gone and the majority of our signings wont have a pre season. Its a standard Spurs trick and hopefully more clubs come in to avoid that happening but we are stuck until he goes
In their eyes we could look desperate but when we recall Spence & hopefully bring in some of our signings then maybe his thinking little Boro will bite him in the *#"#" & Spence either starts training with us, or goes elsewhere

Big club my backside

It's just strange to act in this manner considering the position he finds himself in. He's on the cusp of a huge transfer to the Premier League which comes with a huge pay rise and the chance to show the world what he can do, the absolute dream for most kids, yet this is how he acts? He needs to grow up and take a moment to see how lucky he is.
Looks like he’s just tidying up his instagram. He’s not in the official boro calendar.. you could say that is disrespectful. Djed Spence has 70 appeared for us and he’s no where to be seen. Sammy Ameobi makes it in and Toyosi Olusanya pops up in December.

I bear him no ill will, hammered by boro fans for ages and all sorts of rumours and h supposed truths shared about him when reality is we don't really know

Didn't do it under two boro managers but both those managers left the club with fans calling out severe failings.

Don't think he will get "found out", he's had a strong season and neutrals have seen that. If he doesn't go, it's a shame he can't knuckle down but probably op much water under that bridge. The team he played for he helped get promoted, we didn't, and think there is a lot of bitterness about that.

Good luck to the lad he's taken his chance.

He is better than both of them

Embarrassing guy isn't he. Very small time. Wins a game at Wembley and a dig at Warnocks his first thought. Gets a big transfer and a dig at Boro is his first thought.

I'm on the side that suspect he'll not be up to it at Spurs. Conte won't mother him and their supporters won't be as easily impressed as Forests. Doherty is certainly a better RB.

Apart from free transfers we won’t be signing many without the Spence money. Spurs will be well aware of this. The longer they hold on the more desperate we will be to sell

You can’t really say spurs aren’t a big club

Doubt we’d of brought wilder in without some kind of decent transfer expectations with promotion in kind and this was without any hyped up spence fee .
I agree, the sale of Spence for any inflated price is a massive bonus.

Wilder came to Boro with guarantees he’d have money to spend when there wasn’t even talk of Spence going for anything more than a song.

A reasonable player. Quite obviously a bit of a pr*ck. You could see it in his body language when he played for us.
I’ve said it before, he’d do **** all here, irrespective of who was here, playing for us was beneath him.
I wish him all the best but I don’t think he has the mindset to be a top class player. I hope I’m wrong.

I'm not sure that's true. We had 6m under FFP last season and we got 3m off Mel Morris and another mill for Spence/Forest promotion. That gives us about 10m. I would suspect Wood was 1-2 m also.

Why would you wish him all the best and hope you're wrong if you think he thought Middlesbrough was beneath him and that he was a pr*ck whilst here?

Because I’m a wonderful person

Fair enough.

I'm not, I hope we sell him for £20m and he flops massively.

Barring sell-on clauses, there's no benefit to us for a player who's caused issues here to go on and succeed, but there's plenty of schadenfreude to be had.

If the likes of Tavernier leave, I'll be quite happy to see them succeed and thrive at the highest level, because even when they've struggled on the pitch, I've never questioned their effort or attitude and they've clearly played for the shirt.
