Do you remember the best beer you’ve ever had?

Weather it’s an occasion, event or just a stonkingly good beer.

2 stand out for me, the beer after I got home after my little boy was born, delivered safely and with his mam in the hospital, I got home about 3am and cracked open a big standard carling or fosters, nothing fancy, but it tasted out of this world owing to what had just happened. The other (and the reason for the post) is a £5 beer I bought from Tesco and just drank, more than I’d usually spend on one can but curiosity got me, and it was absolutely fabulous, brewed by a company called vocation, beer called triple vision, anybody into beer should try it, btw it’s 10% so take your time!!

What’ll yours be?

Years ago I went on a visit to the John Smith's brewery in Tadcaster with the Hydro, the beer at the end of that was beautiful, so much so that one lad did ten pints in an hour :ROFLMAO:

vibrant forest 'pupa', firkin shed pub in springbourne (bournemouth) before a game a few seasons ago. gorgeous.

Pint of Brinkhoff in the stands at the Dortmund game on my Stag Doo or the pint of Heineken I had in Kings Cross after just watching England beat Germany at Wembley 2-0 waiting for the train home, I really thought we were going to win a tournament.

I also remember having a can at home after Forshaws late winner against Reading in the promotion season, I knew then we were getting promoted

Tetley Imperial in the White Rose when I was an apprentice in the 80’s and on day release at Longlands college
Good times, White Rose, Liberty's and the Empire. It was no surprise I failed my Btec and ended up on craft for the daft :ROFLMAO:

Robinsons Old Tom in August 1979 (It might have been Marstons Owd Roger though) 😂

I’d gone to Bollington with 2 mates camping for the weekend in one of their cars, when we arrived we thought the best place to pitch the tent was by the cricket ground we got parked up and when he opened the boot for the tent, it wasn’t there, he forgot to load it 🤦🏻 luckily 2 of us had brought our sleeping bags, the driver had a couple of blankets/throws in the car boot he could use and we thought we’ll have to make do in the car.

We went to the nearest pub and discovered this fine cask ale, not realising its strength at first. We had a great night but definitely had more than was good for us. By the time we left the pub we were well gone, it was a warm night when we woke up the next morning, we ended up sleeping by the cricket pavillion, none of us could remember how we chose there or why. I was in my sleeping bag (just) one mate was under his bag of a fashion, not in it, the driver was wrapped up in his blanket things. It was one of the players that found us and disturbed us next morning as he had come to cut the outfield. We decided to cut short our break but had to wait till later that evening to risk setting back home.

First Stella after boiling hot pre season training, aged 18. First cold draught Estrella in Sevilla after hours on a train, about 20 years ago. Can taste them both now.

A few of us decided to stay in the pub for the afternoon and the lecturer reported us all to our employers, probably the kick up the arris that I needed at the time.

Working in Everberg in Belgium to deploy some stuff in a Data Centre over there, had to be done overnight and it went south, the kit was collected from the host site but wasn't delivered until 3 hours after it was due, it caused havoc. We didn't get finished work until 11:00 in the morning and we were all knackered. The lead guy got a minbus and took us all into town and bought us beers for a couple of hours then I slept till 19:00 and went back for phase 2 starting at 22:00. The beer was a Belgian draught and I couldn't tell you what it was, but it tasted like nectar that morning.

Worst pint I ever had was in Tadcaster in the cricket club after playing hockey. I'm convinced the dregs from the brewery were piped under the outfield and straight in.
