They can slip out of a harness, although more tricky perhaps for a larger dog. Our terrier escaped from his, or almost did,. If the strap goes behind the front legs it is more secure

I've looked into one not far from where I am in Redmarshall! I don't usually let him off, he just gets so excited and slips his collar and it's the reaction of some people that have really knocked my confidence. I'm constantly checking his collar is tight on his walk and it's getting me down to.

I agree with people that dogs should be under control, he's just so fast and I struggle to catch him so the threats have really dented my confidence haha, to the point where I'm even contemplating only going round the block in the pitch black

I know that it’s hard to understand people who don’t love dogs, but some are afraid and others, well they are constructed differently to you and me.

You can get lurcher and greyhound specific collars that reduce the risk of them slipping out.

Failing that, the I use a harness with a lead attached and a small lead link that runs from the harness to the collar.

very effective for lively dogs.

We have Saluki and use the Greyhound specific collar works great with our boy never slipped the collar yet

If you hav a long rope lead, you could try this, with the collar and lead as usual, put a half hitch over the dogs nose, with the lead pilling down so it dosnt nip the dog, then when he pulls his head is turned and its not pulling on his throat, taught this by a gun dog trainer worked a treat with my old english pointer, different dog but it works with pullers and he cant slip the collar
