Completely agree BL, perhaps he's one of the players Warnock thinks should be stepping up.
Those first few games he reminded me of Nick Barmby...he's been poor since the new deal there's no denying it !
 
I doubt the deal has anything to do with it. It’s more likely to be due to changes in the lineup like Tav not being around to create space or set him up.
 
It's not just him. It's the whole team at the moment, but was always going to happen a dip in form I think there will bounce back but need the strikers inform just as britt and fletcher came good towards the end of last season. Fletcher can play his way into a new deal and britt can put himself in the shop window.
 
He's had covid. Also he's been bombed out for the new boys so maybe seen his 'ars*' a bit. Also the sides form has massively dipped. Who is playing well?

I was suprised the two new wingers came straight in. I thought we would have stuck with Johnson and Watmore as very much part of what got us where we were. The new boys just came straight in.

He's still looked decent when he's come on. He has far more movement than some others and it shows.

I don't think you can overly slate him. He's been one of the real success and cost nothing. I'm more concerned about the ones that cost a fortune.
 
A bit like Fry earlier in the season, Covid takes a lot out of certain people, think Watmore is one of those.
 
Culmination, the whole squads form has dipped. He seems to have lost a yard since covid. He does benefit due to his early movement someone who moves the ball quicker. Morsy and Saville not been up to that.
Johnson’s been the unlucky one really. Very much a confidence player... had good stats, looked dangerous. Then one or two below average performances got bombed and then new players came in. In the current system Johnson should be the player back in with bolasie injured
 
I think a few have not fully recovered from their periods of covid. I know having had it, it lingers in the system for weeks. My personal running times are down since I had it and my legs feel achy 3 weeks later. Also think No Tav near him has had an impact. He'll come back stronger I'm sure, hes an intelligent hardworking lad.
 
His form has pretty much reflected the way the rest of the team's form. When you've got a reshaped and struggling side at the back and in midfield it's the form of those up front that suffers and looks more obvious.
