Every sky game

Thought Edwards was quite complimentary and positive about us. It was the main commentator who kept going on about Luton being in the premier league that was annoying.

On radio 4 they just mentioned Luton beating us 2-1 last night. It's set me of thinking about how unjust the result is it shouldn't stand tbh as they cheated

Don Goodman is an awful co-commentator now.

But Dave Edwards last night was more than ok. He was very complimentary about our style of play knowing it was effectively our 2nd string team.

I don't get the issue people have with Don Goodman, he's fine.

The pundits and commentary was biased towards Luton last night, but I think that just comes with the territory of being the home team.

They're obviously going to spend more time discussing the team whose ground they're at.

I assume it happens when our home matches are on Sky too.

The only person who annoyed me last night was David Prutton, seemingly ignoring the circumstances in which they took the lead and blowing smoke up Rob Edwards (who I thought spoke well) without ever asking his thoughts on the incident.

Surly you would favor the away side and give them more coverage as after all more fans of the away team would tune in than of the home team you'd think

I wish they'd get one of our legends to come on and just buzz over us for 90 minutes. Then again our legends are a bit busier than Lutons because they were big names 😄

I don't care much tbh; I don't really listen to the commentators; they're just there as background noise.

I can't recall anything either of them said last night.

Pretty sure it doesn't affect the result either way.

Why is that obvious? I can't see the logic myself.

They're in Luton, they're going to spend more time discussing all things Luton.

They're obviously not going to be discussing the atmosphere at the Riverside or our facilities.

Add to that that Luton were above us in the table even before the travesty of a result yesterday.

Stewy is normally a pundit for our games. He always gives us a good review. I don’t see any posts about his ‘bias’ though.

And why would anyone really have a bias against Boro? To the point where they’d be hoping we lost while commentating on our matches. It doesn’t make sense. Goodman was loving Chuba against Norwich, loving Carrick’s work, loving Archer, loving the ruthlessness. Do you think he was being biased against Norwich while purring over Boro? It’s just nonsense.

I read a couple of posts on here on Sunday evening, bemoaning the EFL essentially being somehow ‘forced’ into having Boro at their awards ceremony because Hackney didn’t win Young Player of the Year. “We’re intruding on their big night out,” was one that stood out. This was just before Chuba won the main award. I mean, come on.

Referees, pundits, co-commentators… why would they have an active bias against Boro to the point where it affected their professionalism and potential career/work opportunities?

Yep, lots of people can’t see that to everyone else we’re just any other team.

I think maybe the 3 points debacle has made a lot of our fans very tetchy about authority and/or how we are “treated” by the football community. Maybe after another 26 years they’ll let it slide. 😂

I will never forget the morning we arrived in Eindhoven, we were one of the first on the square at daybreak having travelled overnight. We were chatting to a bloke who was absolutely boiling with rage at how the area Sevilla fans had been allocated in the city was so much better than ours and it was a disgrace “what they had and what we had”. He seriously needed to chill.

There’s probably something in that. And in how the club was treated in 1986. And when we tried to compete with the established clubs in the mid-90s, how we were spoken of by the London-based print media etc.
