FA Cup Draw

I know for a fact we have drawn Stockport away. Been wanting this fixture for years (so I can walk to watch the Boro for once) and obviously we will draw them at a time when I can't attend.

So there's literally no point tuning in at 7.10pm, its already guaranteed.

I can sense your heartbreak Already mate

I use to always look forward to the FA Cup draw when I was at school (some years back now). We would have an old transistor radio with all the lads gathered round it.

For me, the saturation of football on the tele killed the magic of the FA Cup.

I think the internet killed that sort of shared experience of the draw, more so now everyone has a phone in their pocket.

I also think the Champion's League is largely responsible for the death of the cup magic. When a 4th place league finish is considered more important that winning a competition, that competition is in trouble. Also the fact the big clubs won it year on year without taking it seriously was harmful.

I don't have much time for the spurious claim that Man U not playing did it any real harm; I think that's just a stick to beat Man U.

I like it

Tough enough to be a test

But if we go out no shame in it and we concentrate on the league

Win win really

Some great draws for the smaller clubs. Welcome revenue at this time no doubt.

Marine v Tottenham
Derby v Chorley

Not a tie that I'm remotely enthused by.

Hope we win, but I'm not really bothered about the cup this year.

Its frustrating that we visit a brand new ground twice in one season and we cant go.

Tis interesting but neither team will be prioritising the game.
