Just noticed the guy at the top is Overall Rank 111 which is very good going but even more impressive is it isn't their first time up there. They've finished 10,576, 268, 35,615 and 19,905 over the last few seasons. All better than my best ever finish.

I'll be bench boosting this week as well, as most are so not expecting much value from it. 10 doublers.
 
saved my FH for this week so trying to pick a couple of differentials. KDB may well be one and possibly Richarlison.
 
It's tricky as I'm 27pts clear in one (obviously the easiest!) but 4th and 43pts behind 1st in another. And none of the 3 above me have KDB or Foden (at the moment). So play safe-ish or take a few risks.
 
I think most people will get Foden in this week, but probs won’t have the funds for KDB (unless they still have Salah)
 
I would be top of my ML if Bruno hadn't have been injured. The leader had Jackson on his bench. I'm 9pts behind so really tight. They gained 50 points on me during the Free Hit in GW34. They are bench boosting this week as well and he has 15 doublers but two of them (Maguire and Bruno) were injured last week. Most of my doublers he already has and the ones he doesn't play for the same team so unlikely to be much difference. I need my single GW Arsenal players to score more than his double GW Man Utd players and then hope my stronger 1st 11 outscores his weaker 1st 11 (due to investing in bench boost players) in 38.

Not great fixtures for those doublers mind and with thousands bench boosting this week they will have pretty much the same players.
 
I won the FMTTM league a few years back (something I'm very proud of :)) and then came 50th the following season :cry: so yes there is a lot of luck involved, but a fair bit of skill too. It's all about odds and stats really.

A mate of mine is so serious he took a course in football stats. He's won my mini league (100+ people) the past 3 seasons running and will probably win this season too :oops:
 
Im a measly 18 points clear in our mini league and have been too since November (was 100 points clear at one point). Ive got a BB this week but the guy in 2nd has a Wildcard so really unsure what to do. Do I stack up on double hitters, and take a hit of around 12 points or use my FT to bring in KDB or Jackson and hope his wilcard don’t bring him anything.

Ps should have used my BB last week as my bench amassed 32 points🙈

A few years ago I came 399th in the world. There’s so much analysis out there now with stats that anybody who can be bothered to watch the endless YouTube videos from analysts and podcasters can probably do very well and those with love and knowledge of the game isn't enough. I’ve failed to reach the top 100,000 since. Do I sound bitter. Oh yes. And whilst there are over 5 million teams many are multi team owners. Some enter a fresh team (s) every week just to win Manager of the day or Gameweek. Ridiculous.

I did cross my mind at some point but can I be bothered? Nah

There's lots of 'money' leagues too where people simply try and build the most valuable squad. Probably loads of other sorts of stuff going on too
 
I enjoy it, but every single season without fail I completely forget until the PL kicks off, so I start bottom of the FMTTM league and play the season with at least one game less than everyone else. Still enjoy trying to get off the bottom though.
 
I have had a good end to the season, strangely in part due to the performance of Evertons defence and keeper. Strange things like that make the game fun.
 
Does anyone else remember the 90s version of this? Had me buying the Torygraph for a couple of weeks. Think you had to post off your team and check points every Wednesday!
