Fao rob or anyone what the boro policy re vapes

Because Middlesbrough Football Club have said so, it is a privately owned ground and business and can set its rules as it sees fit., I think it is an EFL rule anyway too. Vaping is largely unregulated smoking, how does a club police the actual content of what someone is actually smoking or vaping? A label may say black cherry vape, the contents may be somewhat different, people are funny like that. I dare say people could smuggle alcohol in flasks and the like too mind.

Fans do not dictate to clubs what is an isn’t permitted. I am sure re alcohol, the answer lies in the fact the club has an alcohol license makes money from its alcohol license and alcohol is seen as a part of the match-day experience by many fans, you can’t lawfully take it to the stands seats though.
Hang on Col.
It was just a question thrown out there.........
Its not questioning club policy.

Smoking is an adjective described as ‘emitting smoke or visible vapour’ in my dictionary. Some, but not all of the other issues you raised are clearly valid too, but the rules exist, you and I do not have a personal veto, the fact you don’t like the rule of feel others are more important is neither here nor there.
If you have a dictionary that really defines smoking without requiring smoke to be involved it’s probably time to get a new dictionary. There’s a reason they coined a different word for it. Still banned though.

It demonstrates how harmful air-born bacteria and conditions are passed from one person to another.
a la Covid. Vapour spreads every where. Personally I dont like them.
Its like sniffing someone`s mouth - which isnt a sterile area.
I cant stand the stench of tobacco either, whilst we`re on the subject.

Really? I would however suggest you need to understand the difference between nouns and adjectives 🤷‍♂️

I go to St Helens a few times a season and they are sponsored by a vaping company so it is allowed there. No one seems to have a problem with it either.

I don't get why vaping is banned in places like footy stadiums. Like has been said further up this thread, stop the bag heads, racists and drunks then maybe target the few people that are vaping.

Right, off for a vape.

It's ultimately a selfish thing. Even if it isn't as harmful as smoking, I don't want a big cloud of blueberry ice or whatever they're having going through their lungs and then into mine every few minutes like a fruit flavoured fart.
Plus they would probably rather people feeling the need for a vice buy a pint or something to eat.

If it was allowed would it be selfish?

I have not heard drunks been described as selfish stinking of booze and swearing in the concourse? Probably because that is allowed?

TBH I'm not bothered if it is banned or not and wouldn't vape in the ground as it isn't allowed. I just find the banning of something like vaping a bit weird. It isn't smoking and it is legal to vape in pubs / public places etc.

I can avoid the concourse, I can't avoid some guy sat in front of me billowing a cloud upwards into my face and have never smelled anyone's alcohol at a game, concourse or otherwise.

Are there health risks with vaping? I'm sure I've read information that they can be harmful to children. The obvious question after that is are there any health risks of passively inhaling smoke from someone else's vape?

Drunks can be a nuisance though, it can also be an offence to be drunk in a public place, having a drink is legal where licensed, being drunk and or causing a nuisance is not ok, whether in the concourse or anywhere in public for that matter.

Yeah, I get that, but I don't think there are 10,000 vapers sat in front of 10,000 non vapers. I do get your point though.

Surely the ones that have it set on steam train mode are being openly aggressive?

It's like they are looking for an argument.

As long as I can't see or smell it then I couldn't care less what people are doing.
I can and am bothered, as reading this thread shows, we all buy our tickets based on conditions of sale, ground rules etc. Like in any walk of life we all have a responsibility to play by the rules, if you start overlooking certain things or turning a blind eye, there are always people who keep taking it that bit further or trying to push those boundaries a little bit more sadly and, if people ‘get away’ with things for a while, they often see it as permitted or their right to carry on and it then often becomes a wider problem as some others follow suit.

If people want to vape in the street, car park, car, own homes etc good luck to them, as said, I can choose to avoid them or its in the privacy of their own space, I can’t in my Riverside seat if they are sat close by me. I have the same view of anyone bringing alcohol to their seat too. I may seem a ‘grinch’ but so long as rules exist i follow them whether i like them or not and i expect others to do so too.

Like I said earlier, If people seriously can not go 45-50 mins without a vape or alcohol, then they seriously have an addiction they need help addressing.

Fortunately it's banned in a lot of pubs. Another disgusting habit.

That's a strange take on it :ROFLMAO: I'm sure they are purely looking for an argument...
I can't think of another reason why they would need to have it set to billow as much vapour as a train on the NYMR, can you?

It is incredibly rude and if someone does it near me then they are getting told politely to stop it. As I said, if they do it discreetly then I'm not bothered.

I think that’s more what people are talking about. I don’t really mind if they are having a quick puff on it (or whatever they do). I have a problem with it when they are bellowing clouds of fruity ‘smoke’ everywhere. I don’t want to be inhaling it and shouldn’t have to.
