At the next supporters forum can you ask for an explanation as to why thousands of fans with priority points were passed over for the Spurs and Chelsea game in order to give season ticket holders an extra ticket?

I’ve had enough of this clubs amateur administration.

Yes I agree.
I have SC and have not personally bought an extra tickets, but seems ludicrous that I could buy one for someone who has never ever been to a match in their life and this would take precedent over someone with some priority points accumulated who would at least like a chance to get in the mix for a ticket.

I'm a season card holder but didn't buy the extra ticket for either game on principle.

This is despite my wife telling me that she knew 'loads of people' who wanted to go.

Tough was my response.

Yep, ridiculous decision. Some unscrupulous SC holders could buy extra tickets knowing it will be a sell out and tout them for a profit easily. No doubt some will have. Shame on anyone who does that if they have. Can you imagine a Wembley fiasco if this opportunity were done again were we to get there?

I can only imagine it was done to get tickets sold quick to make it easier on the ticket office workload.

I only go to the odd game now so this wouldn’t impact me either way but it really is a bizarre system. Someone on the other thread said that it could be to drive season ticket sales but are you seriously going to buy a season ticket just so that you can get your mate a ticket if we happened to reach the late stages of a cup? Not sure that would be a selling point to many people.

Still waiting for my Spurs ticket to arrive in the post  (not kidding...). Bought it on the first day they were available, chose put it on match-card. When the confirmation e-mail came through it said "Post". It's shambolic

Been to 10-15 games a year for as long as I can remember, haven't had points added to my account as I've always paid cash on the day. Scraped a spurs ticket for me and my lad but looks like I will miss out on Chelsea tickets, so a season ticket holder can bring 'aunty doris' to her first game. Not a dig at season ticket holders BTW, very annoyed at the club with this policy

Also add that Lloyds bank cards don’t work when buying tickets. Mfc are unaware of an extra security measure and loads of people with Lloyds bank accounts struggles to buy tickets for the Chelsea game.

This thread saves me starting the one I was about to.

I'm a season card holder so it doesn't impact me, but I think those fans who don't have season cards but have been collecting priority points have every right to feel aggrieved that the club are allowing season card holder's mates to get tickets before them.

They could have gone to many home and away games this season and someone's mate who just wants to see Chelsea can get a ticket before them.

It's wrong IMO, and again is an example of the priority system not being used correctly.

This is making it almost impossible for fans to support the club from a distance, it’s fine for the likes of me who live 20 mins away but those who live down South are screwed.

They got away with this offer vs Spurs as many of these fans will have watched it at home or in their local with it being a midweek game with potential for extra time and penalties.

I don’t see how me getting an extra ticket for friends or family is rewarding my loyalty. It isn’t, it’s an offer that makes no sense and shouldn’t exist. If you want to reward my loyalty give me a discount, I personally think the tickets are too cheap for the bandwagon jumpers.

Not to rub it in for people who haven’t being able to get one, but I know loads who haven’t been since we were in the Prem who are going, some taking their missus who claimed to like football for the Euros, then went back to hating it and now wants to go “for the atmosphere and drinks”.

How on Earth is it right these people get tickets before fans who’ve travelled home and away, and their only crime is not having a season card?

It’s just wrong, I’d say I can’t believe nobody at the club saw the issue with this but previous experience tells me not to be surprised.

I wouldn’t blame any of our distance fans who are just as much of a fan as those of us who go every week if they told the club to shove it, why have a priority points system and abandon it for the most popular home game in years.

Farcical.

How do they give you points if you pay cash?
