Farmers who shoot dogs

Needless to say, we immediately put ours on his lead.

The fact it wasn't already on a lead says it all really.
Also, I wonder if the farmer gave the owners a warning which they chose to ignore.

I have a terrier that will walk through a field of new born lambs and sheep without looking at them because she has been trained to do so. People who bring their dogs out to the country side occasionally need to keep their dogs on leads at all times. Farmers do not shoot dogs unless the dogs are out of control.

My dog is always armed. Best of luck to any farmer who tries to shoot him.

If somebody shot my pet then I suppose I'd be in more legal trouble than the farmer.

All dogs should be on a leash when outside in my view . I’m pig sick of being out and dogs running up to me and jumping up or in several cases being snarled at or nipped and owners then protesting their innocence or proclaiming they never normally do this .
