Its only a question of time before it's gets punished. There have been a few close calls.

The playing out from the back thing will always gift the odd chance to the opposition. That is more the manager's responsibility and is a risk they are willing to accept as I imagine the numbers have been crunched and statistically you concede less through playing out than by hoofing it long and conceding possession more often that way.

The best keepers in the world give goals away through passing the ball straight to the opposition sometimes.

I thought Steffen should have come out for the red card incident though, I was watching on TV and kept expecting him to come and clear it but he just never arrived in shot.

Neil Maddison was discussing Steffen a couple of weeks ago and clearly he has an inside track to the club.

He said Steffen, despite what we think and sometimes see, is crucial to the way we play and has an excellent range of passes.. although clearly mistakes are made but we see that most weekends when teams play from the back, even in the EPL (see Wolves GK today).

He thought if we brought Roberts in and asked him to play that way he would crumble as he can’t pass in the same way Steffen can.

To be fair to Maddo he usually talks sense so I’ll go with him on this one.

Sunderland could have given us another 1k if they really wanted to but the logistics of the stadium setup would have made it a nightmare.

You literally had both sets of fans spilling out of the stadium at the end with just a line of police inbetween them

On a positive note i was impressed with the Premier Concourse
