Fiona Bruce at odds with Tory MP

She regularly intervenes with both. It just rarely gets posted on here when it’s the Tory.
She serves up soft balls to tories, does not challenge their clear lies and blames labour when tories vote down their own party in the HoC.

She aggressively attacks labour interviewees, often framing hearsay from the tory press as facts (doing a Rayner), treats labour as if they are in power and are somehow accountable to the public for what legislation passes or not, in a HoC with a big tory majority.

Plus, she's married to a fcuking tory.

It feels like until this ceases to be the case, many people won’t ever be able to get past it.

Its not a very liberal attitude tbh. Plus I know loads of married couples who have completely opposing political views. I’m not saying THEY do, but the point is that we don’t have a clue.

Get past what -
Referring to ‘the black man’ in the audience to ask his question?
Going to the Tory stooges for questions? (some of them the same people in different shows)
The evidence demonstrating she interrupts opposition guests far more than Tory?

If you haven’t got a clue as to her political bias - fair enough.
Please respect the fact - some of us do have the evidence.

“The black guy” description is “evidence” that she is deliberately trying to weight the show in favour of the Tories? It was a clumsy description of someone. That’s an absolutely bonkers claim Finny mate.

‘Clumsy’ - jaysus
Try ‘Racist’

But, you are right that doesn’t make her a Tory - I wasn’t using that in isolation to suggest she was.
but you know that.

Well you used it to add credence to your assertion. I don't think that's fair.

I also don't think referring to someone as 'black' makes someone categorically racist, even if she could/should have said something different.

Combined with the episode when there was a question of racism in sport?
3 non white guests - who did she go to first? Mr white man.
Yes, I think she is racistr.

Great that you talk about fairness - I’m all for that.
You are using one instance against all the other evidence.

You doubt her Tory bias - I don’t
Lets leave it

On another episode, I think it was a question about Islamophobia, she went first to the Muslim guest who then told her she was out of order for going to them first.

Sometimes she just can’t do right for doing wrong. But yes, your mind is made up and I don’t expect to sway you.

I didn't know she was married to a Tory. Is this true?

It was debunked he was a Tory donor.

Is he a Tory voter 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
I mean, surely no one would suggest that the BBC can't employ presenters who are in relationships with Tory voters (or even former Tory voters)? 14m people voted Tory at the last election.

Both Bruce and Kuenssberg are utterly useless and as Tory as they come despite hiding under a thin veneer of impartiality.

BBC Election Night will be brilliant when Kuenssberg is trying to convince everyone that her "sources" still suggest there is no real love on the streets for Starmer and Labour as her boys take one hell of a beating.

Bruce is probably less cynical than Boris's number one fan LK, but just pretty hopeless as a host. Needs to stick to telling old duffers that their used commode from the war is worth 50p.
