Fish and chips

Been craving some lately, not usually an avid eater of them due to working away from being young and living in Australia but would really like to go out somewhere for some tomorrow.
I don't mind a drive and I like to sit in places and enjoy them too.
Any suggestions I'm around teesside/North Yorkshire don't mind a treck.

Is this site being used , I've just ordered fish and chips 10mins ago and, lo and behold, this thread comes up. It's not the first time this has happened either, on different subjects.

Seaview in Saltburn or Fish Cottage in Sandsend are both lovely laces to go and the Fish & Chips are equally delicious!

Great Ayton fish shop on the high street is a little beaut 👍

I always go to Sea Breeze when I'm in Redcar.

With the cost of a portion of fish and chips these days you can't really use the expression 'cheap as chips' to describe something that's really cheap anymore.

I live in Whitley Bay, so my recommendations will be out of range, but was in Saltburn on Saturday and can endorse this advice wholeheartedly.

The best by a mile in my humble opinion is the one at sleights, i think its called north sea fisheries, sit in or take away, they do a lovely skate n chips

We recently tried the harbour view place at Seaton sluice, it was ok but nothing special.
However the large Cod was the biggest piece of fish I've ever had!

We will sometimes get them from there then drive up to the car park at the top of the bank and eat them there with stunning views over Whitby and out to sea.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life was Inghams, Filey. Unbelievable. Me and the Missus still talk about them.
