Scots on news saying they will turn Hyde Park into Hampden Park , with 20,000 traveling down .
Won't be a pretty sight I doubt, and I hope it goes well , but it is a recipe for disaster.

what???? Read what Corcaigh has said on this and lots of other threads about our nation. He is so anti our nation its untrue. I give up. Sticking up for our nation and right to be proud of it and all i see is anti English comments on this by ctc and other threads. Appalling imho

Corcaigh hates flags and flag waving, unless of course it's a tricolour.
The Scots will be waving their flags and fair play to them.
There is definitely a proportion of English people who seem embarrassed to get behind their country with the same passion they seem to respect so much in other countries?

I advise you just ignore him then if it riles you up so much. . It’s one man’s opinion I was referring to this thread. Dislike for the national anthem is not an affront to the country. Welsh get slagged off on here many times and you just learn to ignore.
 
I quite like the flower of Scotland anthem too. You've lost me on that somehow meaning you'd be pleased for them to win though. Hopefully England win the next 6 on the bounce. 🤞

I think they think if you support the English flag you are a tory, if you abuse it you have ‘momentum’ behind you. Politics is behind it all and it is a sad state of affairs. Every ground has two countries flags waving loud and proud, rightly so, but the English flag is sadly made out as racist or tory. Nobody ever criticises other countries doing it or their national anthems, just the anti establishment English. Really sad imho.
