Food you hated as a kid but like now you're older

I keep telling my kids to try stuff they don't like every few years cos you never know. Taste buds change as you get older, I'm sure of it.

For the past 50 odd years I've hated mustard, probably because I had a dollop of it when young, it can be strong stuff.

So I had some recently and now I can't imagine a hotdog or sausage without it, or chicken & leek pie :p

Some things you just need to try a few times such as blue cheese and olives, but others you have a live long hate against and then one day your munching away on the blighter. Celery comes into that category, hated it with passion all my live, make me sick not only to try it but to look at it as well, even the thought that someone somewhere was eating it would make me feel sick. Then against my will I tried an organic one from a rare batch from a small holding nr okehampton, it was a piece of heaven and had such much flavour. All I can I think for all those years my body rejected the mass produced celery which in reality has no flavour but it was waiting for the real stuff, it's hard to explain but it made me really think about how bland modern food is because of the farming techniques.

Eggs
Rice Pudding
Semolina
Fish ... White fish like cod, haddock and red snapper 😂. I wouldn't touch pilchards, sardines, mackerel, salmon.
Seafood...can do calamari and scallops now, but I gag even thinking about crab, whelks, mussels etc
