I kind of hope it is . Wet pitches arent great for ‘delicate’ players when sliding tackles are all the rage and our centre halves are knackered , even NWsays they’ve been overplayedI reckon it will be off
I reckon it will be off
Even though I hope they manage to get it on, it wouldn't be the worst thing if they didn't.
By the time we play the rearranged fixture, their form may have changed, and we'd have everyone but Browne back fit.
Gives more time to prepare for Blackburn and Rotherham as well.
Means you could probably watch it guilt free too.
I do too. Seems like NFFC are already expecting it to and pre-empting it with statements like the one they put out on social media.I reckon it will be off

I think the decisions taken at present only relate to player safety and pitch conditions . I can remember plenty of games at the Riverside being called off due to supporter safety getting to and from the stadium, despite the pitch being perfectly fine and playable.Last season we played Forest in a storm. Torrential rain, everyone got absolutely drenched just getting into the stadium. One of the wettest nights I can remember for a match night.
I remember they then had a card only service on the one window serving hot food. Many fans were left disappointed as they were dripping wet and cold from having just come inside. Particularly as they didn't all find out until reaching the front of the queue that their cash was not good enough.
A year on and everyone would have a card in their pocket. Cashless transactions are now the norm. But there will be no fans tonight and will the torrential rain wash this match away?
Oldham in 95 was the same. We were just about to go into Boundary Park and they turned us around. We went back the following midweek for the rearranged fixture and we got beat 1-0 with an Andy Ritchie winner. That cover looks good so hopefully we will get the game on looking forward to watching tonight and 3 points.
I can remember us driving to Stockport County for our semi final game only to have to drive back again due to heavy rain affecting the pitch and a late call off.
Marvin?Johnson to chair an emergency cobra meeting on the storm
Blackburn have form with calling games off because of rain. Old stagers like me recall A match called off an hour before kick off once at Ewood as we walked to the ground.
The Mags have never forgiven us cos a game at Riverside was cancelled due to a frosty Approach and the pitch was idealI think the decisions taken at present only relate to player safety and pitch conditions .
