Friends

watched a few episodes to see whatr the fuss was and found it mildy amusing but very very shallow, not for me

It's a fairly basic concept and is definitely cheesy, so I understand people not liking it.

However it is, for the most part, incredibly well written and the 6 leads have excellent comic timing and delivery. Not to mention some brilliant supporting characters and genuinely funny roles for guest stars (Danny Devito as the depressed stripper, come on that is funny! ).

Each to their own, but I struggle to believe anyone who doesn't find ANYTHING funny about it, there's such a wide range of jokes and scenarios in it (unless they've not really watched it and just made their mind up after 5 minutes. Which is fair enough, I'm sure I'll have done the same on other shows).

It was, and is, wildly successful for a reason mind.

Love it, used to own every series box set at one point. Now I just dip into the odd episode when I fancy it....reminds me of younger days....Best episode is the one where Ross hosts the quiz for Monica and Rachel v Chandler and Joey

Never got it, it seemed vacuous even in the 90s. I absolutely love Seinfeld its a different league to friends . Great memories watching taxi, early cheers, Rhoda and newhart tv series with my late mam and dad,
