Fuming, more mask rubbish

I cant help but be annoyed by those refusing to wear one, but insisting on telling everyone they are refusing to wear it then acting like they're a victim of oppression when they are called out on it. Just wear it and shut the **** up, its really not a hardship

Exactly this.

I've just found out from my wife, that her cousin, who we were already annoyed with as she wears a fake lanyard to claim she doesn't have to wear a mask, went into a popular coffee shop, was refused service because of no mask, has just been given £3,000 compensation by said company as an apology.

I mean, what the heck is going on here? As a family, we have a valid lanyard because our daughter is disabled, so her wearing a fake one is an affront to all the effort we put in, but to then get money off the back of that fraud, is morally reprehensible.

I'm really annoyed by her behaviour and I am considering some sort of response. She is an absolute idiot and I am frankly baffled by her reasoning.
She should be ashamed of herself, she won't be mind, those type of people never are, they just want what they can get out of life, don't care about anyone but themselves & are more important than you or I
Sorry I don't know her but to pretend she's wearing a fake lanyard shows what a type of person she is & to know she's in the wrong & then to sue the coffee company not knowing she could get the shop assistants in bother shows her true colours
TBH, I couldn't bring myself to talk to her again, dispicable

I’m now very sceptical of masks - i think the really good ones, high grade medical ones that fit tightly will cut down transmission and/or infection, but the ones available on eBay etc are about as much use as an ashtray on a moped. Add to that the fact most people wander around with them under their nose they are, to all intents an purposes, next to useless, they are nothing more than a token gesture as if to say you’re making an effort

I met my friend in Tesco last week. He was telling me that just before lockdown the landlady of our local refused to serve him because he wouldn't wear a mask. After asking him repeatedly she barred him. He was slagging her off something rotten saying that he didn't need to wear a mask as he was asthmatic (which is true), and so exempt. I asked why he didn't tell her this and he said, "It's none of her business"
The poor lass had every right to bar him and I have no sympathy for him. Just imagine if we all turned up without masks and expected to be served- they would go out of business and lose their jobs and their home.-
"Tough" was his reply.
Aye, there's nowt so queer as folk.

Baron S, There has been many a post on this board over the years that has got my hackles up but this one makes me spit blood. How fkn DARE she. This has made me so angry. I think you should sprag on her annonymously of course, and see what happens. If nothing else it would probably give you a lot of satisfaction seeing her squirm.

I knew of someone like this.... before covid they would go away to hotels, pour some coca cola on the bed and then complain straightaway to reception that it was dirty when they entered the room - nearly always got a "free" weekend or heavily discounted (n) (n) (n)

No longer associate with them

I knew someone who travelled with a dead cockroach kept in a matchbox for that very purpose

Find it hard to believe a company would just dole 3k out, surely they'd look into it properly.
A £20 voucher maybe but 3k in the current climate,
.
Yeah and it hasn't been through the courts that quickly either with the massive backlog they've got to work through.

She's full of ****. There is no money.
