Fury vs Ngannou

There was no way fury was ever gonna lose that. Daniel kinahan, Saudi, top rank and bricktop wouldn’t have allowed that. Absolute sham.
 
He has almost single-handedly destroyed my interest in the sport. As far as I concerned professional boxing is dead. Vague curiosity led me to open this thread, nothing more.

The Wardley fight on the undercard I would have tuned into on any channel anyway and that turned out to be a good fight like expected.

Have to admit I almost didn't make it through the walk out shenanigans like.

I'm glad I watched it just gutted about the result.

Yes you are, as Saudi aren’t doing all this to raise money they are doing it for exposure for people to tune in and watch the spectacle.

You did just that.
 
From what I’ve heard through friends and read online, it was probably planned to happen like that to create noise for a rematch

Two different arguments.

I agree that potentially contributed to the sportswashing campaign, the same as anyone who tuned into the World Cup did or watches Newcastle play.

There's always talks of rigged fights around these crossover bouts and exhibition fights.

It's entirely plausible given Tyson Fury's history of avoiding legitimate boxing challenges to take maximum revenue for minimum risk. I'm sure a lucrative rematch woth Ngannou is more appealing than an undisputed fight with Usyk to team Fury.

At some point the WBC are going to have to strip him though if he doesn't make a defence. Needs to happen sooner rather than later. Not having a mandatory has bought him some time but he still needs to make voluntary defences and remain active. That said the WBC are as crooked as Brick Top and the Gypsy King so you watch them slot Ngannou at Rank 15 so he can defend his belt against him in the rematch
