The lineal title was on the line.To win that, to beat the man, that beat the man, that beat Ali. You gotta unquestionably win.
I agree entirely that Fury was poor, and really should have outboxed him, to not do so is a failure, while still winning the fight by the rules of the sport.
I think Fury has been little lucky, could easily have been counted out in 2 earlier fights, and stopped with a cut before now. He's managed to avoid most of the big hitters, he got in with Wilder because he was desperate to important again. Realised just how poor a boxer Wilder is, and got back in twice more because he realised he was levels above Wilder, but then most people are. As long as you have the head movement to avoid/ride Wilder's bombs then Wilder has no chance against a good boxer. He beat Klitschko, what 8 years? He was superb that day and it's still his greatest performance, to perplex a hall of famer so completely.
What the weekend told me is that Fury's heart isn't in the training, just because it's on paper an easier fight that shouldn't mean you come in so physically ill prepared. Fury unprepared will lose soon enough if he gets in the ring with anyone hungry enough
