Gamblers anonymous meeting

Tuncay, a really good friend of mine had the same issue. I ended up looking after his financial situation. Do you have anyone who you feel confident to approach to help? I hope so. Best wishes.

It takes a brave person to admit they have a problem. Going to a GA meeting will be the best thing you ever do.
 
I would just turn up, they will either invite you in or give you more specific dates for newcomers and importantly there will be info/contact details to further help you. You have to start somewhere. Well done you and Good Luck.
 
As the littlefella said GAMSTOP is excellent.

For me, it was rather the time I was spending on my phone. Waking at 1am to see if my Mexican footy bet had come in then sticking another on if it had.

I'm 3yrs into a 5 year block. A few times I've tried to get bets on but it's water tight. I sometimes use the bookies but I find I can control those bets and find it harder parting with actual money

They will definitely invite him in and make him feel welcome. There is no requirement to join a meeting other than the willingness to stop gambling. GA meetings are incredibly welcoming places and will reach out to anyone.

No one should suffer in silence. If you think you may have a problem, the chances are you do.

Thank you for posting this. Just joined. Wasn't at the point where I was in trouble...but thats where I was heading so needed something like this. Just means bookies for me for my Saturday bets....they're not the problem....£5 I spend...it was the online slot and bingo sites.
