Gary Rowett being appointed as interim Birmingham head coach.

I must admit the Mowbray situation seems really worrying.

Hope it's nothing life threatening.

At the risk of sounding like im invading his privacy, has there been any news on whats wrong?

Venus did say the other day that he'd been taking instructions from Mogga about the games, but said it was more a case that his drive and motivation skills were what they were missing. Does worry you though.

I won't be posting it on here but I was told a few days ago what was wrong with TM and it doesn't sound good. I don't think he will be managing any time soon.
We all wish him a speedy and successful recovery. He is a fighter of the highest calibre.

i wish mogga well.

seems like a smart move from birmingham as they are lacking a focal point for the team and it doesn't look like mowbray will be back this season reading into this appointment.

Surprised there is not a last hurrah for Neil Warnock (we've been saying that for about 10 years)

Real irony in Birmingham asking Gary Rowett for help - in another time and another regime Rowett was sacked with the club riding high in the play offs to make way for Zola who was even worse than Rooney in the wrecking ball he took to Birmingham City's place in the table. Have they ever recovered? Perhaps momentarily at the start of this season before Eustace was sacked for Rooney.

That's Alanis levels of non-irony.

I think it makes sense. He's been in and around the club before. Also a very experienced champo manager. It doesn't appear to be working with Venus as the gaffer. I half expected Warnock to go in after packing in the Aberdeen job.

The whole situation isn't ideal. The only thing that really matters is that Mowbray is on the mend and gets well soon. It's clearly a serious condition so football takes a back seat. He may never manage again. He's at an age where he may just want some family time when he makes a full recovery.

The lack of actual information makes it more worrying. Although fully respect anyones privacy when it's medical related. Although good news about the likes of Bernie visiting him and saying he's on the mend 👍

Fingers crossed and best wishes to Tony… an absolute Boro legend and a lovely bloke.

A couple of really poor comments on this thread. Anything for a laugh though, eh
