Hi, apologies if there is another post on this, just booked up for this at the end of the month.

Any recommendations for bands I should make a beeline for?

Deco. The Redroom. Yasmin Coe. 👍🏻

What I would say is the local acts on that bill are on pretty much every festival around here, so if they clash with an out of towner you like the look of, go see them instead.

I've seen king no one live 3 times after blind buying their EP and they're amazing live. Great songs and excellent stage presence. I'm going purely for them tbh and will check out some others while there

I've seen quite a lot of the local bands due to the fact I shoot/work with a lot of local musicians and bands/artists. I shot The Redroom and also Andrew Cushin at Hardwick Live a couple of weeks ago and both were brilliant, lead singer from Redroom has an amazing voice by the way, both on at the main stage at ARC which has amazing sound and lighting.

Moving on to the Georgian, headliners, Komparrison are fantastic, catchy indie pop with intelligent lyrics, playing Lindisfarne this weekend, was talking to them Wednesday at another gig and they are buzzing to be headlining GS. Zela are also on this stage, total bratpop, layers of sound and played NXNW in Canada a few weeks ago, total energy and deffo recommended. Picnic are also a big bag of energy and lots of fun, Provenance are one of the bands of the moment on Teesside right now, saw them Wednesday night in a packed gig in Stockton and shooting promo with them soon.

Not sure about the Ku stage or Social Room as I dont know any of the bands, but Jimmy never fails and the stages are always well curated, gonna do a Spotify trawl to pick my faves before shooting on the day. I always tend to find my new fave bands on these stages to be fair.

If you go, and you see me wandering round in my EnA branded hoody/polo with a heavy camera bag please do say hi, oh and enjoy your day. The music scene is brilliant in Stockton.

KNO are one of my must see picks.
Was actually quite gutted for them last night - we saw them in Leeds wardrobe and it was sold out and a great crowd.

It didn't bode well when we went in to see the band before them, having read that venues would have a one on one out policy, and there was hardly anyone in there. Figured with it being a headline spot there would have been a decent turnout for it. The set was quite short too, I think it was meant to be an hour which is average to short anyways but I made it about 45 minutes when they went off and no encore. They don't even do Two Islands which is practically their anthem.

But a good performance in front of a small crowd

The only other band we wanted to see were the main headliners at Ku but as there was a big wait anyway and these finished so early we ended up just going home

TBH I did not rate KNO too highly. They were ok but nothing more but maybe small crowd meant it wasnt a good night to catch them. Didn't see many bands due to watching Boro game in a pub. So missed nearly everything before 5. What I did see was decent. Lipfiller were really good and they were followed by the even better Bedroom Highclub. Then probably my band of the day Fat Dog. Brilliant but impossible to pigeon hole. They have elements of Indie, Rock, Prog, Rave often within the same song. Watched a bit of Zela who was alright nothing more. After King No-One there was not really much happening of interest so went to see a bit of Andrew Cushin and after about 40 minutes of them fVkking about with the sound he finally came on. Lasted two songs horrible. My friend who I was getting a lift back to Redcar with loved him so its all down to personal choice.

The turn out must have been worrying as nowhere was full while I was there and some venues only about 30-40 people there. As the previous poster states I wanted to see The Skinner Brothers but apart from watch Andrew Cushin or going back to the Georgian for Komparrison there was nothing on to take you up to the 10:30 start. So we ended up going back to Redcar for beer.
