I agrée with that, but it’s the response that’s the problem, especially when the Israel’s are dropping leaflets to tell the Palestiniens where & when they’re going to bomb…..so how many Hamas militants that we’d all like to see suffer will be under those bombs.
For me one of the min reasons for the disproportionate response isn’t just the atrocities themselves……it’s mainly spite……for the fact that Hamas made Netanyahu and his cohorts look the bunch of nasty useless c*nts they really are!!

Pointless trying to second guess what Hamas hoped to achieve but I suspect they quite look forward to guerrillawarfare and the causalities they can inflict if and when Israeli troops enter Gaza.

Not going to end well for anyone this, least of all the poor people caught in the middle. It's not like they can evacuate anywhere remotely safe or habitable is it.

Its down to just over 2 hours now to get out with a tent or be potentially blasted in North Gaza

Israeli military say the Palestinian civilains have had their chances ot leave :eek:
 
I particularly hate the message that Israel have the right to defend themselves, but that the Hamas attack was just a terrorist attack.

Its horrific what Hamas did to innocent civilians, but we shouldn't kid ourselves here. The innocent Israelis have now experienced what innocent Palestinians have been suffering through for decades.

Both Hamas and the IDF are terrorist groups, both enter each others nation to carry out acts for political purposes.

The only innocents are civilians.

Sadly, even if you get rid of Hamas, the situation will only get worse under Israeli politics.

If I was a conspiracy nut job, I would wonder how Israeli intelligence failed to respond to warnings from Egypt, and how the attack from Hamas has taken the focus away from the failure from BN to form a working government and the publics negative reaction to the power grab away from the judiciary. As until a week ago, Israel had one of the best and most proactive intelligence networks and best rocket defence in the world.
 
Apparently Hamas are blocking roads and trying to turn people back…2 or 3 news are reports stating. Seems people are worried about another Naqba.. The situation where Isreal go in and stay. Doubt that will happen. But who knows.

You wonder if they ignored the warnings in order to retaliate and clear the Palestinians out of gaza .
I cant believe that with the technology at tgeir disposal they firstly didnt know and then took up to 12 hours to reach those under siege

After the initial reaction to the horrific attacks, that was something that crossed my mind.

It wouldn't be the first time governments have allowed bad things to happen to their own people for their benefit.

I dont dount another Naqba will happen. Thats quite clearly the plan.
The aim to get people out of Gaza and into Egypt or obliteration is pure and simply ethnic cleansing and our country along with all Western leaders are entirely complicit.

I thought that but up to a point. There’s been a lot of diplomatic traffic going on. Netanyahu has surrounded himself with, like himself some very right wing people. Possibly that’s worrying for the US and others. They don’t want everything kicking off yet again. Nobody wants to be poking Iran with a stick. Get in do what you said and get out.
If they try and annexe the North it will certainly hit the fan.

It won’t happen because the Muslims in the region have always detested Jews , even before the creation of Israel

I don’t think some on here understand the extremists and a significant lot of Muslims don’t hate Jews just because of Israel , they hate them because they’re Jews and antisemites . Even if Israel and Palestine agreed to a 2 state solution , Hamas and other extremists will not tolerate the existence of a Jewish state in the Middle East . Despite Jews having been there even before Islam was a religion

And will make it worse because it’ll stoke up Lebanon, Syrians and generally they will be able to call them animals and increase the Iran issue leading to a wider conflict….the Israeli government are making a massive mistake and are acting in anger rather than taking stock and acting statesmen like
This could spiral out of control…. The Americans and British are both very passive as well here and again they ought to be reigning in the Jews because of the threat to a bigger conflict which could lead to something like a world war

Could you imagine if during the 70’s ,80’s and 90’s when the IRA were carrying out attacks in Birmingham,London,Manchester etc, the government took it upon themselves to advocate the indiscriminate bombing of Dublin, Belfast, or Cork because the perpetrators were living amongst the locals.
