Gender neutral god

Its a good diversion from reallity:
Kids going hungry.
Families sharing rooms to keep warm.
Lengthening queues at food-banks
Selling off our NHS
Screwing nurses and public sector workers.
Politicians lining their nest with public money and laughing in our faces.
Sending arms to foreign wars whilst depriving the most vulnerable, particularly the disabled and elderly, decent care and quality of life.
Allowing private companies to acrue huge profits whilst our people go hungry and dont know whether they can afford to live any longer.

like most gender / sexuality / religious things this will not really impact my life in any way shape or form so they can crack on

surely only GBeebies watchers will spit their cornflakes out at seeing it, which people of a similar ilk probably would for equal rights for women or skin colours in days gone by

I have no skin in this game as I am an atheist but I find it odd why they are potentially alienating their congregation doing this when there has been no obvious clamour for it?

Very strange.

The source of the story is the Telegraph.
More BS to rile up the anti woke, anti lefty brigade.

Many years ago I ended up as part of a discussion group being run by a Catholic Monk. The question for consideration one day was "Could God create a weight he could not lift?" Apparently a pearler of a question to those of sympathetic philosophy. A girl in the group immediately responded "Why should she?" End of discussion amid much laughter and my atheistic foundations remained unshaken.

God is a concept.. by which we measure our pain.
During the latter part of the Strachan era, after a few years of failing to bounce back, my subconscious helped me come to terms with the reality of the situation.

I had a very vivid dream of Boro fans celebrating in some fountains of a generic European piazza, whilst this song was being played. I woke up with the words "The dream is over, What can I say?, The Dream is over, Yesterday" firmly in my mind for the rest of the day. I had to wipe the tears from my eyes when I woke up.

Funny how your subconscious works, and how it fused Boro/Beatles together (two of my biggest loves). I think it helped me though, I became an adult football fan after that dream I think.

Anyway, back to trans rights.

I am confused, I remember having to attend Sunday School when we were taught that Gods name was Father Harold Wishart, How can he be non gendered.

Our father Wishart, in heaven.
Harold be thy name.

I think that's how the C of E was founded in the first place.

As an atheist, I find myself thinking "why not?"; if humans can change gender, surely an omnipotent God can? But it would require some remarkable double think for anyone who is a committed believer.
