Gold Season Card Holders

You couldn’t make this up. Their FAQ has literally caused more questions and an issue we all thought we understood we now don’t.

Only MFC could do this.

I'm totally confused. I shouldn't have read the FAQs as they seem contradictory and not what I expected either. (Refunds for games behind closed doors.)

OK - what these FAQs are referring to is people applying from now on through the ballot.
Everyone that has already successfully renewed will get a free stream until the first match with spectators - at present that is the start of October.
Everyone looking to renew from tomorrow will get a free stream for the home game(s) until you are allowed to take to your seat. Then after that point you will no longer get a free stream. The only people to continue getting free access as those unsuccessful in the ballot for seats in the Riverside.

Yes, I contacted them. Thanks for pointing it out. That is what it is all about, isn't it we work together to get the message right between the fans and club.

I’ve Renewed Already. Will I Still Receive A Streaming Pass For Home Matches?

Streaming passes for home fixtures will only be available for fans who have renewed, but not been successful in securing a seat inside the stadium.

this is what it now says after edit
clear as mud

The club's communications are unimpeachable as ever.

I'm struggling with the communication around bubbles. I'll be looking to renew with my 16 year old son. The communication suggests that he won't get a ticket without me getting mine (which is fine). However, I don't want my adult ticket unless he gets his child ticket. I'm only interested in us going together or not at all. The communication seems to suggest I could be allocated my adult ticket alone, which I don't want. Can anyone clarify?

I think the club have tried to get this right but it is not entirely down to them. I am a GC who lives in the NW. I have renewed but cannot guarantee I can get to every game given there are more midweek games. I read the FAQs and found them confusing on many levels. I interpreted the streaming question for those who had already renewed as suggesting we would not get passes. Has that now been clarified and we will? Will the club reimburse pro-rata given cost of a seat is far more than cost to stream? Why no away streams?

Yes the club has responded to a similar question on Twitter.
Fans who have already renewed will get free streaming, up until we are allowed back.
Any games missed due due not being allowed back in will be reimbursed.

You will be able to stream the Bournemouth game for free. Then hopefully the limited capacity kicks in after that. Once you are able to take a seat in the Riverside you lose your free stream. It is an either or situation.
We asked the club about a scheme to allow season card holders to register matches they could not go to so that a waiting list could fill the empty seats. Unfortunately they could not find a way to do this without completely changing all the pods/bubbles. Also the streaming deal is on allowed by EFL if everyone is a season card holder watching in the stadium or streaming at home. One thing that must be stressed is this season for reasons of track and trace season cards are not transferable. I am sure we all understand that.

However elsewhere on the site (and posted today) on the renewals page it says this (note the bottom sentence):

So the website contradicts itself as it says you will get a pass only while you're not able to attend due to the stadium being closed to everyone or you being unsuccessful in the ballot but elsewhere it says you will get a streaming pass for all home matches.

So if for some reason I couldn't attend a game then the seats go empty - is that right?

One part of the club website implies it goes empty and you can't watch a stream. A different part of the club website implies it goes empty and you can watch a stream.

Yes the seat would be empty - I suppose it is a consideration to make - if someone renews but knows that they could only attend an occasional game - then maybe bear in mind the extremely limited capacity and possible competition for seats - you would have a chance to renew again next season.
I think we need to remember also that some people do not feel it is the right time to return, there are definitely some season card holders that are not renewing.
