It took nearly four years for the US media to start calling Trump and his hangers on liars. Will the UK media ever grow a pair and say to Gove and Johnson that they are liars? I doubt it. Servile to the end.
HC, they said the same about Johnson but it seems the Tory Party has been taken over by chancer, liars and frauds. He‘s an awful excuse for a man, there is no way he will become leader of the Tories.
And yet still people vote for them.HC, they said the same about Johnson but it seems the Tory Party has been taken over by chancer, liars and frauds.
Perhaps if ordinary working class people as you call them were given an electable option at the GE things might be differentI agree with all the comments.
I have been saying since the GE that I am more at peace with the situation because only a fool could pretend that they were hoodwinked by these shysters. Applying the same logic I understand that the majority of people ARE fools and, as gruesomely patronising as it sounds, they dont know any better.
We got the government that was voted for. They are doing everything a lot of us were expecting.
They are turds. Bizarrely, these posh turds manage to convince ordinary, working class people that they have their best interests at heart.
Maybe before I die, more people will pay attention to politics and understand how these people control our lives instead of shutting down any debate.
Aye, PR is the only way to go - a proper democratic reflection of votes. Will lead to umpteen hung parliaments but that's a damn sight better than the tyranny of the majority. Brexit would never have happened....These people are drawn to a system by which they benefit and is easily manipulated for their purpose.
This can only end with FPTP ending and our constitutional arrangements changed.
As long as things remain the same...the reality of the choice is from one of two parties... where one can achieve an unassailable majority, with no real effective brake on the executive.
The problems will always remain. Our system was once described as a kind of ‘Benevolent Dictatorship’
The last few years seems to have removed the benevolence. It’s time for a grownup form of electing our representatives, and allow the voters to grow with it.

Gove, just talking trash as usual. Only numbers they have added are in the unemployed and nursing and having said that research currently indicates that 30% of those currently in post are looking to get out of the profession. Good job we have taken back control of our borders. At least we will have full control of the floodgates to let thousands of immigrant workers in to fill the roles. Our detachment from EU will also allow NHS to pay them less than the min wage. No doubt the min wage structure will also be ditched in due course.
Get ready for the bumps in the road and pray they are not as big as the bumps to the head that Boris & Co appear to have suffered which have manifested in poor decision making going back months.
Get ready for T4 and wait for another u turn on schools.
All because Butthole Johnson failed to take Covid seriously at the very outset.
The out of work natives who are on the brink of starvation? My first thought from this is that if we are stopping immigration, who took a lot of those jobs on min wage, because Brits wouldn't or couldn't. If you stop immigration, and get rid of minimum wage, making the jobs less desirable, who on earth do they think companies are going to hire?
OK, I tend to disagree, but hypothetically, what suddenly makes you think that those people are so desperate to take a job, when in some cases, being on welfare is better financially. Do you also expect the government to use that to once again target welfare for cuts? The out of work natives who are on the brink of starvation?
UK's exit from the EU will indeed be used as an argument to get rid of the minimum wage. As an independent, sovereign coastal state we will need to become more competitive and since the people voted for this the Tories will be able to use it as the reason to cut labour costs. The nodding donkeys are now so deep down the rabbit hole they will go along with it to save face and give a kicking to the lazy proles at the bottom of the heap.
Wasn't the 50,000 the probable number of extra staff estimated to be needed to be hired by businesses to handle all the extra paperwork ? An added expense to business, or you could say a non tariff trade barrier, something BloJo just lied about.
