Gove lying again!!!

it’s essential they have an alternate Labour Party they can empathise with and get behind
"Essential" only if you mean in order to continue to divide the votes that might remove the Tories and thereby ensure their continued stranglehold on the political institutions of this country... we need another left wing party?

There is no way the tories get rid of the minimum wage, it is an election looser.
If working pay and conditions were a significant consideration then the Tories would never be elected.

Minimum wage will be degraded by whatever means can be implemented, direct or indirect.
Now that Brexit is happening the full agenda will be revealed and employee rights will be near the top of the list.

I can't see how lowering employee rights and scrapping minimum wage would be considered, who would vote to make themselves poorer? Oh erm... Dear.

I can see it going the other way though, as more people are unemployed there will have to be more money pumped into the economy to stimulate growth; think universal basic income will become a vote winner in the not too distant future.

If only people who were working age voted then Labour would win every election.

The basis of the conservative party's electoral coalition is bitter retired people who want to pull the ladder up behind them.

Sorry Prisoner we will have to agree to disagree. That would be political suicide.

Gifts for the 'Workington Man' are like the promise of a puppy at Christmas every election year. 'Redcar Man' must be so levelled up by now he must be feeling positively giddy about his new tory chums - who for some strange reason no longer call.
