Great win. Not for the purists but a hard fought win all the same.

Proud of the lads and the fans tonight. Our fans are the best in the world making it an atmosphere second to none. As for Blunderland, their fans have a sizeable amount of vile, disgusting neanderthals who shouldn't be allowed inside a stadium. I thought Leeds were bad but that lot eclipse Leeds in the lowlife stakes. Predictable 'Paedo' chants by a very large section only proves my point that they are pond life. UTB.

Thought the first half was a belter to be fair.

Second half was fairly dire. It had a hint of Karanka about it, though I've yet to learn to trust CW's bus parking in the way I trusted AKs.

In fairness, I don't think Sunderland had a serious effort on target, and I felt we should have had one more at least.

I thought Sunderland 's fans gave up rather meekly. Their team showed more spark than they did. Sunderland does have some very passionate fans, but they clearly didn't get any tickets for tonight.

Still, 3 points and our bunnies back in their hutch until January: not a bad night's work.

Glad I couldn't hear their fans from the North Stand, I'd have been ***ed off, genuinely surprised such a large allocation could be so quiet, they were meek for the full match which surprised me considering they're in decent nick in the league and on a high from coming up still.

I heard them and I was in the north stand

We certainly didn't batter them, should've been 1-1 maybe
But we were the better team I think

We were pretty good for 60 minutes. We looked a bit shaky after that when we sat back but overall I was happy with the performance. We just had to get it done last night and we did. Hopefully it is the start of a run and we can get back to the business end of the league.

Firstly a great result for us. Secondly I can’t for the life of me see why we take our foot off the pedal - as per second half. We defend deeply, leave players unmarked and invite pressure. Why? First half we were assertive, aggressive and wanted it far more. Second half? Different game.

Put teams to bed!

I was pretty close to the Sunderland fans in the East stand.

Watched whole families, including young teenage kids, singing that song all the match.

Disgusting.

Yep it was en masse

I know people on here like to say ah but we’re just as bad etc

but we’ve never sung enough masse like that. It’s sick
As you say utter scum.
Isn't it just like when the spurs fans chant yiddo about themselves. Perhaps is like a massive group acceptance counselling service their club runs? 😉

I thought it was a decent first half and a dullish second half. Our wing play from both right and left was excellent, we put them under pressure and with the rub of the green could have scored three more in the first half.

After the break they had far more of the ball but didn't really look like threatening Roberts, he looked decent. We still created more, Watmore should have finished, Muniz too perhaps.

The team looks to be getting there but we were up against a poorish side who lost a key player prior to kick off.

But it wasnt & if youre talking about their only clear chance then McGree had two other clear opportunities to have scored, Muniz too forcing their keeper into a reaction save
