Ground staff take a bow

A horrible night for a game of football and you can clearly see how much water is on the pitch.

But not once has the ball held up or not ran true because of it. Here we are now after almost 90 mins and the pitch still looks fantastic.

So a huge well done to our ground staff and the club as a whole for their hard work. It can only help us play the way we do.

It was amazing, I was expecting standing water to appear all game but it never did.

I think it is the structure of modern pitches the draining is superb on them. Mind I don't think I ever recall having a game postponed either at The Riverside or Ayresome due to waterlogging?

Totally agree with this. There was a slightly dodgy bit near the dugouts but all things considered the grounds staff always make a good job of it.
