Hancock in the commons

No it’s not in my view, the government was accused yesterday by the Barnard Castle man of needlessly killing thousands of people by incompetent government, the current subject matter is too serious to be messing around.
Absolutely. It’s far from funny. It’s worse than that. To try and create a joke out of such a serious matter shows the type of person Deehana Davison is. Completely lacking in moral fibre and substance. The very worst of politicians

Jesus Christ lighten up a bit. Lots have people have taken the mick out of it.
No. Not when it’s a useless single issue MP making a mockery out of a situation which has led to many deaths. The people of Bishops deserve more from their representative than pathetic memes and no substance. It’s not even remotely a laughing matter

Deflecting every question asked. Asked about returning untested Oaps into care homes, answered by championing a new test centre being built.
Jacob Young has just given him a virtual rimming.
Flatly refused to bring forward the date of the inquiry.
Care home death question asking for apology answered with flummery and no apology.
Asked again about care homes did he sign off the testing policy...didn't answer just said we're now doing millions of tests.
Basic manner is yes we'll learn lessons but oh dear how sad never mind.

The bloke is a weasel.
Sorry that's detrimental to weasels.
He's a slippery twãt.
If the people asking the questions really wanted answers they would demand them but they don’t as long as people see these so called Mp’s ask a few difficult questions then they believe they are holding them to account it’s been quite the eye opener.
We need an MP with some balls who can stand there & tell them straight stop fuc##ing about & answer the question get onto them ask them demand they explain themselves stop being so nice to them & accepting a bullshyt answer tell them they aren’t going anywhere until they give them an answer.
This just feels like they’re going through the motions on both sides of the house & want to get back to the subsidised bar to take the pi## out of us a bit more.

The missus reminded me tonight that at the outset I commented that he was either thick as mince or he was deliberately launching Covid grenades into care homes. The cynic in me made me think that Boris was using the pandemic to deliberately bump off many sick and and frail - a murderous approach to reducing social care costs.

The missus told me at the time I was bad minded. Tonight she suggested that I was probably right.

The ring of steel was tantamount to a ring of executioners. A murderous act, manslaughter, wilful neglect. Someone should be facing criminal charges for the act.

Where is Dennis Skinner when you need him, or Tony Benn? You might not agree with their politics, but they didn't let anybody off with patting them aside.

Food for thought....

The sad thing I have found is that in my working day yesterday at least 4 people commented on how Cummins was a nasty piece of work and how good a job the government and "Boris" have done.

All older people, who have been vaccinated and provided free food through the pandemic and relatively untouched by it outside of being locked in their homes.

You only see what you want to see, or what impacts you. The rest is ignored.

A real opposition with a leader who has balls wouldnt go amiss either.(y)
PMQ`s looks more like "Crown Court" [ITV for those not old enough to remember it]

PMQ's is becoming something of a joke. The speaker needs to have more clout in holding the PM to account and insist he answers the questions posed, rather than letting him answer a completely different question and then asking questions himself. Unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Nobody can deny that infected patients were sent back into care homes. We also can't just blame Hancock for it either. NHS management are just as complicit in the genocide of our elderly care home population.

How many companies does Hancock own?

Ref Care homes - I think those in power in late March 2020 felt the priority were the sick aged under 65 rather than the over 85s. They wanted to clear the hospitals of everybody but Covid sufferers. We as a country were in panic mode and dealing with something that no one seemed to really understand and had no knowledge of dealing with since 1918. There were shortages of PPE and very little testing equipment. Even when tested it took up to 14 days to get a result back which was almost useless. To me it felt like the Blind leading the Blind. With hindsight some of the elderly should been left in hospital, but the hospitals were told in no uncertain terms to get them out. It is heart breaking to think about want happened. The financially strong and morally strong care homes would refuse entry without a test result, but some are in very poor positions to refuse or would just too helpful (with hindsight).

What was defintely wrong were the denials - my mum was moved from James Cook Hospital to a Care Home. The Care home denied her entry by clocking the doorway with furniture to stop the ambulance crews from coming in (in my opinion the care home were correct to do this). She had to go back to the JC and go back to the care home when she had evidence of a negative result which did happen the next day. At the same time I was watching the TV 6pm (Horror) conferences where it was said that this was not happening!
