Has anyone seen David Mellor Tonight on Newsnight

Chelsea did well pre Abramovich but they had run into trouble due to the helicopter crash killing Harding as he was the money man. They had established themselves as a top team, but they had run into cash flow problems like Leeds did a few years later. They were living well beyond their means.

I remember it being widely reported at the time that they were going into administration if the Russian billions hadnt come along. There have only been two self sustainably big clubs in the EPL era, Arsenal and Man Utd, and in fact the Russian money's distortion of the EPL has ****ed them up too.
