Has George Russell proved the car is actually the star?

I think they made it so bottas would win but they fked it up

why else double stack but they got the wrong driver

Don’t forget they put bottas tyres on Russel not the other way around

And before anyone says teams don’t do that look at yet another faulty tyre for Vettel after he decided to leave Ferrari that’s just blatant that one

Bf what did you make of the pit stops

First Vettel again then double stack mercs hardly ever double stack.

Double stacking is a recipe for disaster particularly when it's a late call safety car. Toto Wolff said it was a safety call because they didn't want cars on fresh tyres behind them at the re-start. The problem is Mercedes are hardly renowned for their pit stops so it seemed a bit strange to me.

Vettel and Ferrari should have parted ways at the end of last season to be honest when the writing was on the wall.
I was at Monza and there was so much indifference towards him from the Tifosi it was palpable.

I think they intended to pit bottas first hence the tyres to give him the undercut but mixed it up.

There was no way they were going to let the rookie beat there main driver imagine the implications of that. Esp as the bloke that beat him
Goes back to being at the back of the grid.

Very odd very

I said everything we've come to hate about F1. not that I hate F1..
How can I be wrong about something subjective?
If you can't see the contradiction in what you're saying about hating the sport it's pointless me prolonging the discussion with you.

Oh and you're wrong about me not being a fan of racing.

Personally, I don't like Lewis Hamilton at all. However there is no doubting his record but I wonder if he'd been in a different car, would people talk about him in the same way?

Would people compare him to Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Senna, Prost and co?

I don't know but I suspect not. So we have to go on tolerating the insufferable little a**e until someone develops a better car.

They had to though, it showed by how much Bottas fell back at the end that they would have lost the lead with Perez behind on better tyres

Pit yes but not double stack.

To put the wrong tyres on a car is as bad as it gets in F1. Btw Russel not out of the woods yet could still end with a DSQ.

Could you imagine if that was Lewis how he’d react.

If Bottas had gone round again he would have lost the position to Perez. If they were going to pit they had to do both of them on that lap

It's all linked mate, if you think that the safety car subsequent disaster etc was exciting for the right reasons then I don't think you are a fan of racing.
I'm not wrong it's just my opinion, your entitled to yours. 👌

Lots of ifs, buts and maybes in there all of which are quite irrelevant.

I'm sure he speaks highly of you too.

On a side note it's ironic that it was literally George's Williams that cost him his first win.

Was the safety car even necessary? Thought it could have been handled via vsc in my eyes.
