Have you ever shed tears for the Boro

Bubbled at the end of the FA Cup Final in 97. I'd bottled up all of the stress and emotions of that season and it all came flooding out at the final whistle 😞

1986 bubbled like a baby thinking we had gone out of business then 1990 zds final our first trip to Wembley also shed a few at Cardiff 2004

The Steaua game at full time. I was tired and emotional with beer. Don't mind admitting I get a bit of grit in my eye now if I watch the highlights and hear Ali again utter those words

29/02/2004, blubbed like a baby.

Have never come remotely close to crying in those bad Boro moments, just tend to think ........ "useless buggers' .................... and hope for better times ahead.(y)

Twice.

1. Right after the Birmingham FA Cup Tie in 1975. Tears of disappointment

2. Right after the final whistle at the Millennium Stadium 29.2.04. Tears of joy and relief.

Once, when Steve Claridge scored in Extra-time in the 97 League Cup Final replay I just knew we wouldn’t come back and it was the frustration of letting a huge opportunity miss as we should have won the first game but we just didn’t turn up in the replay. The frustration built until the final whistle but I started to shed a tear when Leicester lifted the cup up and the roar of their fans celebrating upset me as I was thinking it should have been us.

Many times but one that sticks in mind is 1-0 defeat to Sheff We'd and dropping into bottom three for the first time of season on the last day and going down.

Didn’t stay around. Hopped it after the final whistle. I’d expected it. We were already shattered from all the FA Cup games and backlog of league games so didn’t find it in me to get too upset.

Twice and vastly different circumstances.

Watching the 2004 final in an Irish pub in Cologne. I still feel it now. It was amazing how many Bolton fans were in there....

That defeat by Cardiff in the FA cup in 2008. We could and should have won it that year. Absolutely spineless performance.

Yeah Leicester cup final replay. More because as usually happened that season we just didn't get going and ended up being out fought and out thought. It was like watching a car crash in slow motion.

Leeds May 97. Though it was weird thinking, oh well, at least we've still got the FA Cup final to look forward to...

Cardiff - no tears, just felt strange and afterwards everyone just seemed to file out of the Millenium Stadium quietly. All the adrenaline gone.

Winning our first ever cup after believing that I`d never see it happen in my life time

Also when we were relegated in 2009 from the Prem at WHU. Think I just knew then that it would never be the same again
