The sea looks as flat as a pancake on that webcam, it might be high but isn't going over the wall. I was at Sidmouth yesterday, the beach stones had come up on to the promenade and a few of those had gone over the wall and the floodgates backing on to the road.

Just back from the Headland, I've not seen the water so high. Calm conditions but it's only a few feet below the wall top of the light house harbour, the Pilot Pier.
