Hobbies ?

For anyone out there who thinks model railways are “toy trains” and for children, note the price of this. It’s for one model loco.

Or if you want to model the present day, it’s even pricier

Allotment
Adding to my vinyl collection (mainly northern soul)
Getting out on the Lambretta scooter - weather dependent of course ;)

And of course pulling articles and photos off the web and reproducing them on here. 😉
Facilitating so that others may learn for themselves to distinguish myth from reallity and fact from fiction. Mans intellect demands it be challenged then nourished and renewed with knowledge.(y);)

Music. Play guitar, write and sing. Also have a few other instruments lying around that I can get a tune out of (some better than others).

Dabbled with writing and have a few ideas for novels but never seem to get past the first chapter without including all the plot...

Bit of busman's holiday stuff with computers too, currently trying to sum up the energy to write an app to help me with my gigging.

My son at uni bought an oculus quest 2 vr unit, told me how good they were .
sooooooo I bought one 3 weeks ago, cost me £399 and I’ve spent another £100 on head straps, storage case etc...
it’s still in the argos bag under the kitchen table unopened 🤣

must admit I’m terrible for impulse buys .

( On a side note....do we have a cabinet maker on board ? , I’ve a couple of Saxon items I’d like to place in a proper display case .
id say we all could knock something up that would be ok, but I’d like cabinet makers skills to produce one )

Martial arts, bit of Zwift cycling & guitar.
I had no idea what 'a bit of Zwift' was, thought it sounded like a new recreational drug similar to 'Cake on Brass Eye,until i looked it up.

@HarryVegas was a wandering minsterel in the middle ages one of your earliest jobs? utb

Another walker/rambler here.

Yes, you should see what I can do with my lute.

I really don't have any reasonable hobbies.

I don't think fitness and videos games count so that leaves me with arguing about Brexit, learning about the USSR from blad and bankrupt on YouTube and watching motor racing.

BTW lots of musicians on here. Respect to that. I tried to learn guitar but just don't have the ability. I'm tone deaf and have no sense of rhythm so musicians are like wizards to me. They do magic.

Bald and Bankrupt is a good watch.

Hes really good isn't he?

He really gives a different perspective on the soviet Union. He goes to so many communities that have been destroyed by its fall. Although he's in Estonia at the moment. I'd be surprised if they felt the same, given how they've come on in the last 30 years.

Just listening to music and video games for me - I do like walking and intend doing more of that in nice places when allowed.
I really envy those who are able to play an instrument.
