How are you celebrating the New Year?

I haven been out for a drink since the day we played Swansea( I didn't go) and had a works do. I worked over Xmas( 35 hours over Xmas Eve to Boxing Day) and was looking forward to going out tonight with some friends, but discovered Jack Ryan on prime video yesterday and I am binge watching that, so I might stay in😇

Or I might go to a strip club🤣 one of the girls I work with has a 2 nd job there behind the bar and she was trying to get me to come, so who knows🤷🏻‍♂️.
I let the Teessider in me decide.

A quiet night in on my own. Few nice bottles of wine, beers in and some M&S party food. Hoping to find something decent to watch on tv or will read or listen to music. Be in bed before midnight. Dunno what it is about NYE but it always makes me feel unsettled. 🤷‍♀️
Hope everyone has as nice a night as they possibly can and hope 2024 is good to all FMTTMers.

Quiet New Year for us too. Grandkids sleeping over while their parents meet up for drinks at a friends house. The rest of us will play some games, snacks and toast the New Year.
Best Wishes to you all for 2024.

So sorry to hear that Slipperutb.

A Happy New Year to you too, Alan; hope you have a lovely meal with the missus.

We are heading out to a friends’s in the village for a ‘pretend posh party’ where we have to be in suits, ladies in sparkly dresses. No idea why, but that’s the theme. So the old dj is making an appearance. It was last used 8 years ago; thankfully it still fits.

Happy New Year to all mooners both here and abroad.
The old DJ making an appearance - What, you are going out in a Donkey Jacket? ;) 🤣 🤣 🤣

All the best and have a lovely time Rob.

Just a chilled one here, haven’t got any plans to go out but that might change as the Mrs said she fancies a few wines.
I’m not that bothered about drinking on NYE so might get on the stealthy Guinness zero while I join her.

Haven't been out for years on nye ! Dows it still actually get busy in local pubs ??
I honestly vthunk new years day has become a bigger / better day out , especially for the over 40s brigade lol 👍

My little lad is ill so we're staying in with a takeaway. Few beers only as going in the lounge at the match tomorrow so don't want to spoil that.

I hope better than last year, when I checked into the blue bell at 10pm 31st Dec and stayed for 3 nights. Making us a roast, mine veggie hers beef. Long gone are my party days. People don't do what the did in the 80/90s, parties and people just tipping up at 1am.

We've just been for a short walk along the beach at The Stray and walked along to Marske. Plenty of people about in both Redcar and Marske and a beautiful winter afternoon.

I will be popping to my dad's about 17.30 and will take him a plate of sandwiches, sausage rolls and volovants, etc. for him (proper 70's). I will stay and have a beer with him before heading home.
