We should have been set up more solidly first half
We shouldn't have made those mistakes to hand it to Chelsea

The one is for the goal we scored, which I celebrated like a win 😁🕺
 
1 for me. We played a team built from a squad that had a billion pound spent on it over the last three transfer windows. They won the champions league not so long ago. And the game was played on their turf, whilst boro had to play player s who wouldn’t be first choice.
 
Probably a 3, I expected to get battered and we were.
We were fortunate in the first leg and they had 10 days rest to our 3 and their starting 11 cost £500m compared to ours which was about £10-15m.
I wasn't surprised or angry that we lost.

The goals were largely self-inflicted though, and the performance was worse than I was expecting, which is why it's higher.
 
2 for me, not that disappointed, I am over it, we have a few players out and actually started well in the first ten minutes but our frailties showed through, obviously it is hard to go out in a semi final but the league is our bread and butter, we make our challenge now, get ready for the run in.
 
1. When the draw came out I gave us no chance and unfortunately that's exactly what we've got.

Would have had even less chance if we'd progressed and come up against an actual half decent premier league side in the final 😂
 
I dunno really. I expected to lose but the score itself feels hard to take cause I don't think it was really a 6-1 game, and we've gifted them that score without making them even really have to work hard. But then when we're this limited with what we can do cause our squad is decimated it's hard to really have a go at anyone for trying to play our game as well. But also it's a semi-final and you always have that bit of hope so... 🤷

On balance, a 3 I suppose.
 
I'd have been absolutely devastated if we'd lost on Penalties or a last minute goal. Weirdly I'd feel miles worse about it than I feel now.
But performance wise I'm going for a 4. Very disappointed with how we played tonight.
We'll be back and much better though.
 
1. Completely ambivalent. If it takes a billion quid to assemble a squad just to challenge for the Carabao Cup.......🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
Knacked with injuries, players struggling through when clearly not fit....just a "bridge too far".
And shows the ever widening gulf between the top half of the PL and the rest.

Proud of the team and I expected a hard defeat.
We were in the semi's, the only team outside of the Prem.
The way our support reacted to our team was superb .
 
1 - I'm gutted we didn't make a game of it with the awful defending in the first half but I was expecting a 3-0 defeat so at least we scored more than I expected 😄

FFS and if Chelsea hadn't missed the hatful of chances that they should have got in the first leg we wouldn't have been in with a chance in the second leg at all.
We played against a team worth about a billion quid and the team did far better than I thought at the start of the season they'd do so absolutely no disappointment in the team at all from me.

1. Not at all disappointed. It was never going to happen and I fully expected the gulf in class to show.
 
5. Didnt expect us to win but that has to be one of the most one sided inept cup performances i have seen in 40 years . Hugely disappointed with carricks tatics on the night. Felt massively sorry for howson going off hes been a great player and didn't deserve to be in a defeat like that.
