How long does the disappointment last?

I feel we may have blown the best opportunity in years of getting back into the Premier League. I hope I am wrong but next season the championship will be stronger still with the calibre of sides going down from the premier league and the likes of Ipswich and potentially Sheff Wed going up - Two big clubs who will be on a roll.

The other night reminded me of 1988 and a packed Ayresome Park. We assumed Leicester would roll over with nothing to play for and they beat us 2-1. At least we managed to get promoted through the play offs that year by beating Chelsea. This season we are left with nothing but amazing memories.

If we keep Carrick and SG gives him the money to strengthen we will be in with a shout but it won't be easy at all.

I still feel sick tbh. We had to watch the Burnley fans celebrate promotion and the other night Coventry fans celebrate the play offs on our pitch. Our support and loyalty is second to none. Look at the atmosphere the other night before kick off. I just feel we deserve more than this...

To be honest, by about the 75th minute I thought ‘typical Boro, my Boro’ the Boro I know and love, and made peace. It wasn’t to be, but the fact we made it there in the first place surmounted what I was expecting of the season.

we had dropped off towards the end, som suppose it was looming a bit. Always hoped that the magic would show again, but since we allowed Chuba to get drunk at the awards ceremony (😂) I had a nagging feeling that may be it.

Next season should see us start strong and push on. Chuba to beat 30, Forss to get 15+ and McGree to get 10+. Barlaser to smash Giles’ assists this season (11 or 12 was it?).
