How many Play Off spots are left?

In my opinion the current top 5 will be the top 5 until the rest of the season.

Then there will be a 3 way fight for the final spot between ourselves, Sunderland and Hull. Hull have two outstanding gamechanging players in Philogene and Twine, and will be the biggest threat to us however their defence may let them down.

Sunderland rely far too heavily on Jack Clarke. If anything happened to him they’d struggle and they tend to be far too inconsistent.

Boro….again my opinion but we are just short on quality. No top striker, creativity wise we struggle if Jones struggles, no ball winner, and our defence is like a chocolate fire guard in away games. Unless we make a few top quality signings we’ll finish between 8th -12th.

It’s bunkum because you said we can’t expect top 6 with the number of goals we concede, whereas the team 7 points ahead of us have conceded more and the team 15 points ahead of us have conceded only 2 fewer. Those two teams are showing that you can concede goals at a similar rate to us and pick up enough points to be top 6.

If you look at the table, those two teams are 7 & 15 points more than us, my point is they can concede goals and get a points total that currently gets them in the play off positions & comfortably in the automatic places. Boro as you can see from the table, can’t. Unless this changes then we in my view we have little chance of getting in the play offs. I’ve seen a lot of Boro teams over the years, in my view this one won’t be quite good enough this season, next season might be different, lot of young players bedding in, will take a year to really see them come to their full potential

I think the next few games are crucial, we really need to get something from a tough set of fixtures; Leeds, Ipswich, Baggies and Swansea - a couple of defeats there puts us in a difficult position.
