Exactly this. Sometimes it just goes a bit stale and I think that’s happened here. It has that sad inevitability about it. Let’s just be done and crack on with a bit of hope for the remaining 3/4 of the season, even if it’s just to let a new manager bed in ready for having a proper go next season. I don't think the fact the squad know that a) he's leaving in May and b) that there's a new DoF type role who is now heavily involved in the make up of the squad is helping us.

When people realise these two are not Premier League players and in fact arnt top 6 championship players. They will understand why we are mid table championship team.

Not good enough at all, like another poster put. Acceptance will ease the pain

Really we’re still suffering from the god awful decision to go all in with relying on the cheap option (Steve Agnew) to keep us up when we’d done the hard work of getting promoted. At least Hull gave it a go thrashing us in the process.

Bob Mortimer said it best, we got promoted, farted and then disappeared again, look at the likes of Brighton and what they’ve done in the premier league.

Unfortunately the plan was to go back down, reboot with Monk, expensive signings and then smash the league.

I can just about understand every other managerial appointment we have made, even Woodgate at a stretch and Southgate, but the only logic behind Agnew seemed to be 'it's working at Leicester with Craig Shakespeare'....That decision has put us back ten years with all the knock on to the next season and subsequent appointments. We need to stop seeing the manager as the god like figure who can transform everything, but as part of a team on the football side of the business. Warnock will do enough to keep us interested this season....soon we'll be saying 'three or four wins will get us challenging for the play offs', then around Easter we'll probably part ways and start preparing for next season. Keep the faith we are the mighty Boro not Manchester United!

You're right I haven't seen his other posts telling people to shut up, he's as equally wrong then & I wasn't singling you out just pulling you up on what was a pretty poor post.

Perhaps if you'd added some context to it I might have twigged - no offence meant.
