I’ve lost track of our injury concerns.

Howson rumoured to have a calf strain. Most likely to be back for Sunday in my opinion.

Forss - not sure what the injury is if someone can clarify but he was injured during a game.

Ramsey got trodded on against Norwich and been wearing a protective boot and is back at villa doing his recovery. No sign of him yesterday after the game.

Fry has had various problems according to Carrick, couple of fans have rumoured that it’s a facial injury that is causing him problems ( from when he got booted in the face by Branthwaite a couple of years ago) Carrick hasn’t said this though.

For me I think we will only see Howson back.

Yeah I think reading between the lines, this is correct.

Fry with an outside chance, but Ramsey definitely out for the season.

Hopefully Forss has a chance too.

Carrick has definitely kept his cards close to his chest with regards to the injuries, which I'm happy with.
 
So it’s certainly looking like Jones/Chuba/McGree across the forward line (behind Archer) for Sunday at least.

Very disappointing if it’s certain that Ramsey is done here, though I do think McGree is arguably as good.

Fingers crossed on Forss I guess.

I'm told Fry is an achilles issue which will put him out until next season unfortunately.
 
Be not far off 3 weeks until the playoff final. Maybe forss or ramsey could make it if we get there. Obviously wouldnt becmatch fit
 
To be honest given how long he's been out for I'm not sure bringing Fry straight back in would be the right thing to do anyway.

Yes he's better than McNair, but is he after not having kicked a ball for several weeks? Would feel risky.

Bit different with attacking players. If they're rusty they're less likely to cost you a goal and it's easier to sub them off or bring them off the bench.
 
Think what is different is that we are at the end of the season and in the play offs. It's a one shot deal, if someone can have an injection and play they will. Makes it more likely we will see a Forss or a Fry given they have the summer to recover.
 
I was delighted for Jones a couple of weeks ago when he came back into the team and looked promising.

But if he's the one starting for us on the right hand side for the play offs, it doesn't make me very confident at all im afraid.

It's an absolutely massive blow losing Ramsey and Forss, no doubt about it. Even if they are back, they'll be nowhere near 100%.

Jones owes us a few good performaces after the last year or so.
 
If we don't go up, Ramsay will surely be a key target to return next year, but I am concerned he is injury prone. Missed about 3-4 months of the season at Norwich and us. Fry is unreliable for us misses 15 games a season every year and should be viewed as a reserve next season. Regardless of what division we are in, we will need a new centre half. Forss is just a shame as he had a great season. Howson is the biggest loss if he dont play.
