I have not seen this on any news programme

Civil service demonstration in London.
I'm not in favour of violence or disorder but if a few windows were smashed I am sure this would be shown.

If you chase up the ITN News at 10 coverage you can seen the march being led by one of Teesside band The Beer Pigs with his trumpet. It was a very good day in London, and I'm not a teacher, a doctor, nor a civil servant. They were all so polite.

The "media" hope out-of-sight, out-of-mind - but ordinary peole arent stupid.
The elite thought they could ignore protests and demoralise the strikers. Its stuffed em up the arz and they cant ignore them. Behind the pantomime on Prime-ministers questions, behind Sunak there is much going on. They realise they cant bully everyone to work or starve them back to work.
Media wont advertise ordinary people winning.
It goes against the script.

Chatting to a retired NHS consultant in the pub last night. He related that due to the complicated final salary pension structure, it was feasible for a consultant to end up with a tax bill that was higher than their salary.

Exactly this and why they were retiring early.

It was a serious issue which needed sorting out when you consider the loss of expertise it was creating.
