What if SG started the proceeding believing he had a legitimate claim and wanted to bring MM to task for it. He probably thought it would be resolved much quicker than this.
Let us also presume that he did so to get the EFL to tighten up the rules and administer them properly.
With the mess this is causing and with Bausor on the EFL board the second point is achieved or achievable.
With Derby in administration what could be his motive in continuing the action. I don't believe he wants DFC to go to the wall.
How will DFC be viable if they go out of business and what return will MM get from stadium rental if they do.
Perhaps it's become a clever plan to help the club and supporters by getting MM to come to some sort of agreement regarding ownership of the ground.
Fanciful perhaps but I think there is more to this than we know.
