I think Newcastle will go down.

I watched that game against Brighton and that team looked woeful.

it reminded me of the season that we got relegated under a whimper.

Calum Wilson is going to come back from injury, he scores goals. But he is experienced in relegation.

From memory the last time we played Newcastle in the league at home was the 2-2 draw in 2009?

I can’t see them going back up for a long time.

They are certainly having a good go at it. I’m surprised Bruce hasn’t been sacked yet though maybe Ashley is too busy with his sale to care.funny I had a Newcastle fan associate of mine telling me how they were going to sign Lionel Messi at the beginning of this season, funny how things pan out.

I still think Fulham will probably save them. Fulham have improved massively, but they're still not great. IF Newcastle can win their game in hand, it's back to a five point gap. Despite Fulham's slightly better run in, that's still a tough ask. The match when they play each other could be the decider.

I feel for any fans down there..... been there and done that. All relative of course but as a football fan I have empathy for their situation. I'm not one to gloat in other peoples misfortune, live is too short.

I do feel for the fans but hope they go down for Ashley's sake. He'll get what he desreves...... NOTHING
I certainly don't feel sorry for them. While many football clubs are teetering on the edge of viability, Ashley has actually run Newcastle at a profit, and they are the leagues third most profitable club. They probably have little to worry about as regards financial stability.
Massive crowds won't save a club, but financial mismanagement is, and is ultimately the ruination. Ask Leeds or Sunderland fans, and even ourselves... we know it too well.
You'd think in the casino that is the Premier league, the Jawdees might stop and think, and show a touch of gratitude, but you know that they won't.

I'm wavering over whether I'd like to see Newcastle relegated. There were a lot of good lads up there when I used to work near the Tyne Bridge and they did suffer to even see games in the days of John the miner's son and Dirty Doug, and also do we want them competing for a promotion place against us next season ?

But what the hell, they are Geordies, so never mind eh ?

Yep, fingers and toes crossed for the (hopefully) inevitable. Will be refreshing having such a massive club in the second tier ;)

It's still in Newcastle's hands and if they get Callum Wilson fit ASAP, then they have a chance.

Their last 2 games are key.

Sheff Utd at home and Fulham away.

I think the Fulham game will be a decider.

What a cracker it could be!

Don't seem to have any feelings towards Newcastle these days, we haven't played them since what, 2010?! Crazy when you look at it like that.

Ashley probably can't afford to sack Bruce, who I feel for as he comes under an enormous about of stick and has had a tough couple of years outside of football.
