Ipswich town on Saturday.....

On the metric of expected goals versus actual goals they are the most overachieving team in the Championship just ahead of Preston.

I am surprised we are favs for Saturday's game.

I would have thought approx chances are:

Boro 37%
Ipswich 37%
Draw 26%

They are 18 points ahead of us in the league, which is a massive gap at this time of the season. Plus we have 8 out of starting 11 missing.

If they sell 2,400 I think that is good going for this time of the year.

Should mean at least 27,500 for the total attendance.

It takes their position to bring 2500. Had we been in that position we’d be taking 5000+
I know there's Christmas shopping at this time of year and it's been a bit cold and stuff but I'd hope we'd take more than 5000 whatever our position given it's a home game.

Then again, I suppose there were games in the mid-1980s when we didn't manage it. I'm confident we'll take more than 5000 on Saturday though.

Does this mean Hackney and Fry are OK?

‘Matt Clarke, Matt Crooks, Dael Fry, and Hayden Hackney will be visiting the club's pop-up store in the Hill Street Centre between 15:00 and 16.15 tomorrow (Wednesday) where they will be signing gifts.’

They're allowed to leave the house when injured, haha.

Though hopefully they are back for Saturday.

We will be able to put out a representative starting line-up that should compete with Ipswich. It's the bench options I worry about.

A mate of mine who knows Hackney's Auntie told me yesterday that he's definitely not going to be able to play on Saturday.

Amazing following for this time of year. Hats off to them because that journey is a tough one at any time.

I love the optimism on here and hope we get something. I think it would be a great point if we can get it. I'm not so sure with our current injuries. We arent keeping many clean sheets at the moment.

Carrick always says "its going to be a tough game" [he means BEFORE the game - not afterwards]
He`s right of course.
We have to go in with a reasonable level of optimism and the belief amongst the squad we can do the job.
