Is it worth joining the Labour Party?

Like many I intend to vote Labour at the next election.

What are the benefits of being a member - I have never been a member of a political party before but thought I might look into it.

Hate Starmer, hate where Labour have gone, but I feel it's got to be better than what this shower of ***** have done for the last 14 years.

I'm a member, but I don't really do anything with it to be honest, as I've not had the time. I've been contacted directly a few times mind, as the ward I'm in is proper Tory. Somehow my area has gone more Tory every year, nightmare. Everyone round here think's they're in the top 10%, where as in reality they're mostly middle class getting no Tory benefit.

Looking forward to putting a Labour flag up, come the GE, and stirring the local Tory pot.

For me it was more about just showing Starmer/ Labour support as the Corbyn lot kept going on about how many members labour had under JC etc.

Unfotunately, the Labour party has gone the same path of all the other generic, centrist parties. They have almost abandoned their own, founding principles. I can take this as progress so long as they are honest about it.
I am forver making the point that Labour is a socialist party. No ifs or buts. Ask Starmer if he is a socialist. HE will procrastinate for 10 minutes without answering the question.
Lately, Momentum went a bit too far but then the reaction to that was almost criminal. What happened to Corbyn is totally abhorrent. Some of the front line Israeli apologists like hodge really hung him out to dry - aided by the press and the nowt-but-a-pair-of-nice-t*ts from Countdown. Criticise Israel, whether in government or not, and the lobbyists will get you out.
I have been a member for years. I thought i had left but I am not actually sure. i voted for Corbyn, first time round, but voted for the other welsh fella, owen something or other, second time around.
I though I had left after I felt betrayed by the leadership over brexit. It was common knowledge thast the vast majority of the members wanted to remain but the shadow cabinet sat on the fence as it became clear a lot of them were closeted leavers.

I left following the direction that Starmer has taken them in, that was after I actually voted for Starmer to be leader. I can't abide Mandelson and he seems to be pulling all the strings now. I'll still vote for them (as I have always done) to kick the current lot out but if they continue with the Tories fiscal plans and bow down to the populist right they won't have my vote for long.

Starmer a socialist, that's a laugh.

The Tories get their cash from huge bushiness that rely on kick backs & ultra rich Russians and other nationals with suspect histories.

Labour rely on the people, Sadly the Tories will outspend Labour and other parties in the coming general election by a massive margin.

Indeed Houchen was elected this month because of the huge spending power he has thanks to odd donations. Other parties have got to try to compete.

I've downloaded the labour party pledges that arent pledges into my google wallet, just for fun. yes, I am a very sad individual.
