It’s September

I'm usually in the more optimistic group of fans - but that was terrible and I'm not sure where we go from here

We have just witnessed another abject performance.

One point from fifteen.

Bottom of the table.

Is it now OK for fans to express their displeasure or will this be attributed to involuntary bodily emissions?
No your a bedwetter. Or you’ll get accused of not being a boro fan like I was for saying that I believe we are miles off the promotion contenders

It's enshrined in law that you're a bed wetter if you are critical of anything before ten games.

You can't be critical because then you are a bed wetter.
Too many people just ready to put up with the guff from the club.
But but what about the model. Got to stick to the model.
Yeah he was our top scorer but it's a great deal for the club.
I looked at the squad days before the season started and said I thought we would finish between 15 th and 11th at best. That went down well.
No pace and soft as a sponge through the middle and our best player sat on the bench watching.

Carrick shouldn’t be got rid of, he should be given the experienced coach the club spoke of to support and develop him, not the proven parochial failure that is Woodgate.

But if we blame Woodgate now, did he receive sufficient praise when we we went from lower bottom half to chasing 2nd place? Or was that just Carrick?

I don't think the season is a write off yet, i think Carrick needs to stop us leaking goals first off. Switch to a 4-3-3 or even a 4-4-2 and get back to basics, grind a few results out and get some confidence into the team. This is a very different and dare i say less talented side than last season, Carrick needs to adapt and play a formation that suits the players he has at his disposal. I think at the moment he's still trying to play the free flowing style we had last season - that's just not going to happen without the likes of Chuba Archer Giles and Ramsey, we simply don't have those type of quality players to do that now

You mean when he was manager? Well, he didn't have Akpom, Archer, McGree and Giles in the team at that time. Unless we think Britt, Fletcher and co were of the same calibre.

And couldn't we just as easily blame Woodgate's struggles on Robbie Keane?
