The problem with stuff like this is he now has to go out and prove himself to be a serious footballer who is 'worth' what he is being paid to the Forest fans.

If come March they are well an truly in a relegation battle and he goes missing because he is already thinking of his next move then this kind of stuff will come back to bite him on the ar5e.

Depends of course on your interpretation of being a d1ck. Personally it applies more loosely than the examples you give. In my book they are examples of being a complete tvvat.
