Joe Joyce

He is very static, but then he always has been. His game isn't about movement. Very gracious in defeat, and for my money if it went beyond a couple of rounds he'd KO Wilder. He's still got a big part to play at the the top table of HW boxing.

AJs quick powerful combinations would be far too much for Joyce He has absolutely zero head movement and would be there for the taking -

Joyce fought an aging Parker and poor dubois and people thought he was world class

AJ wouldn't let his hands go and isn't strong enough to keep Joyce at bay. If anything, I'd fancy Joyce in a fight between those two.
I’m far from Joshua’s biggest fan but Joyce wouldn’t be able to walk him down in my opinion. Joshua can still do damage and is the better boxer.

With respect, AJ impressed less against Parker than Joyce did, and AJ was poor last time out.

I'm a big fan of AJ and think some of the stick he gets is way OTT but if anyone thinks he into a ring with Joyce and comes out with a KO or a shut out on the score cards haven't been watching the post-Ruiz AJ.

True. It was poor. He took far too many shots. I'm not sure AJ has the same power as Zhang though.
I was there when Joshua knocked Zhang on his a%% with massive gloves and headgaurds on in 2012. Of course AJ has power. Doubt he would KO Joyce but could just beat him up.

Isn't strong enough, come on , he's 18 stone and knocked lots of really big heavyweights out. Joyce is far too easy to hit.

Nobody disputes that Joyce is static. The question is, can the current version of AJ keep him off for 12 rounds and KO him? Not really convinced he can.

Parker fight was in 2017 and that was for a unification - the Parker that Joyce fought was getting battered by lesser names and was on a downward spiral

It was a bad night for Joyce and an exceptional one for Zhang. Joyce lost too much weight and it seemed to have sucked all of the power out of his shots. He also looked very uncomfortable fighting a Southpaw.

I have just flicked to watch the boxing on BT from the start and have just seen Denzil Bentley dispose of Kieran Smith in an emphatic style. The bout lasted 45 seconds and I would have liked to have seen more of Bentley.

Sam Noakes stopped Kumar in the second round of his International Commonwealth defense. He now needs to get in with one of the top 10 of this lightweight division. Preferably one of the lads from 5 down to 10.

He's definitely got a future in the game.
